The more comprehensive the use of delivery systems, the better the chances of finding measurable outcomes, and meeting the goal of prevention SBS.
Public awareness is a forgotten component -- the Cinderella of prevention. But truly public awareness and community education go hand in hand.
Use the synergy of reinforcement.
If a mother hears the same message in a radio PSA that she heard from the community educator, the message becomes “more true.”
If the community educator hears the radio PSA, it is a validation of the mission.
If leadership hears the PSA, they become carriers of the message, and recognize the concepts when policy is being discussed.
